A collection of the random and the quirky that tickle my fancy.

Our wedding photos were taken on a fairy fort and ancient burial site on my uncles farm. Travors and I have the great honour of being the first newly weds to be photographed on it.
The fort was used in the 1500’s by Grainne Mhaol, the Pirate Queen of Connaght as a lookout post, as her troops could see all of Clew Bay and out onto the Atlantic Ocean from there.
In the background you can see Croagh Patrick, the birthplace of Christianity in Ireland and a pre-christian site where human sacrifices were performed to honour various deities.
Pirates queens, human sacrifices, supernatural fairy dwellings…oh its all happening in Mayo!
Finally got a look at the wedding snaps today, this is one of my favourites.
